    Hi Ya’ll

    December 30th, 2011

I created this site to be able to share who I am, why I like education and to share experiences and educational news with the public and fellow educators. This site is an update from another site that I had up. I decided it needed a change in visual appeal and a new format that would be easy for everyone to follow. I will constantly be tweaking this site so keep coming back and see what I have in store.  Please leave any comments, suggestions or advice that you would like to give me. All I ask is that you are a litte kind about it, lol.

Please check out the biography page so you can learn a litte about me.

    Strengths Based Leadership Profiles

    January 8th, 2012

When I was selected for the Leadership Corpus Christi class of 40 (LCC XL) We were given a “Strength Based Leadership Profile” assessment. The following were the results that I received.

     #1 Strength - Deliberative

You are careful.  You are vigilant. You are a private person. You know that the world is an unpredictable place. Everything may be in order, but beneath the surface you sense the many risks.

    #2 Strength – Command

Leads you to take charge. You are not frightened by confrontation, rather you know that confrontation is the first step toward resolution. You have presence. You have command.

    # 3 Strength – Relator

Relator describes your attitude toward your relationships. The Relator theme pulls you toward people you already know. You derive a great deal of pleasure being around your close friends. For you, a relationship has value only if it is genuine.

    # 4 Strength – Learner

You love to learn. You are always drawn to the process of learning. You are energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence.  You are able to thrive in dynamic environments where you take a short project assignments, learning a lot in a short period of time.

    # 5 Strength – Focus

Where am I headed? You need a clear destination. You set goals which serve as your compass, helping you to determine priorities and make the necessary corrections to get back on course. Your focus is powerful because it forces you to filter. This makes you an extremely valuable team member.

It was then broken down to a  domain by your number one strength and mine is:

    Executing:

Execute ideas and make things happen, implement solutions, make lists, establish quality processes, configure people and/or tasks needed to reach toward goals or complete tasks.
